When design, engineering, and manufacturing sit with different teams, a handoff needs more than a shared folder. Make the owners, revision, and next decision clear.

Name the decision owners

Identify who owns design decisions, supplier communication, and client approval. Each partner should know where their responsibility begins and which decisions return to the product team.

Keep one build baseline

Agree which revision to build. Connect drawings, board files, requirements, and change records to that revision, so a supplier does not work from a mixture of old and new inputs.

Define the next handoff

State what is being delivered, who will review it, and what evidence comes with it. A prototype handoff and a production-readiness review may need different records.

A collaboration introduction can be brief: your expertise, project type, and the China-side work you need covered. We can then agree client boundaries, information sharing, and how the teams will communicate.
